Do you lose your position when coming back to #Fedilab?

@apps It's been bad some time ago but I feel it's much better now. Maybe it happens sometime? Not enough for me to really notice and even less get angry about itg

@appsGot a lot better after re-enabling "remember the position" (or similar), got worse at one point, so I had to. Would prefer to have them reloaded on opening the app after some time only, but it seems that that's a tough call

@apps Sometimes the app seems to discard the cache, losing the position in the way.As in, sometimes, the app will open in a blank feed.

@apps More specifically... I have 2 accounts, and whichever one I was looking at before going to bed is pretty much at the same place the next morning. The other account is around 24 hours out of date.

@appsIt's rare, but if it does happen it seems to correlate with scrolling in just the same instant as fetching new posts completes. It's really hard to be sure of this, though, as it's not reliably reproducible - I might well be seeing ghosts here.

@appsI don't know if you consider it listing my position, but sometimes when I open the app back up (I think after it got evicted from memory), the position will be one toot older than when I left the app. This seems to only happen when I was caught up to the latest when I left the app. (Maybe the most recent isn't marked until after the top of the toot has scrolled onto the screen, but that isn't possible for the toot at the top of the list )

@appsI don't lose my position, but I wish there was a more intuitive way to jump from newest to last read and vice versa. Like a recall button on a tv remote.

@appsYes, I lose my position, when I use a different device 😉. This probably isn't what you're asking about, but if would be great if there was some way to synchronize position (and other applicable timeline settings) between devices.

@appsWhere in my opinion it shouldn't be considered coming back, if I just switch the app and click the app icon again.

@appsWhen coming back to FediLab? No. But sometimes I tap 'back' one too many times when getting from some conversation back to the feed, and it takes me to some other random conversation I opened in the past. Then tapping 'back' from there takes me to where I was when I opened *that* conversation, and the place I was is lost.IMO, it'd be better if the app closed instead, which would at least preserve my location in the feed.

@appsHappens when viewing my timeline and reading to the top. If then I soft close or leave the App with the back gesture, next time it always starts up with the second last toot on top. So I have to scroll back up.

@apps Have the opposite problem: I want the position to be forgotten, have disabled "remember...", and still on every time line and list view, need to go to the top manually, because I get auto-moved to my last reading position anyway.
