It's been a couple of years since I tried Logseq for journaling/notetaking and I'm impressed with its progress. I'm moving to Logseq from Obsidian and Roam because it's open source, encrypted sync works very well (must be paying contributor - $5/mo), whiteboards!, support for org as well as markdown. iOS and Android apps. And it's, for me, very intuitive to use.https://logseq.com

@leo Starting checking this out after a rec from @arossp but got sidetracked. Be interested if you find some good resources for a beginner.

@leo #Logseq is amazing. I'm hoping they pause on shipping features at this pace and focus on stability, UX, and better syncing. Features like whiteboards should be plugins instead of part of the core app. It's getting bloated fast.

@leo Yes it is brilliant. I first came across Roam, but wanted local first for #Security Now reasons, and for when I'm offline too (which is as much as possible). So I made a TiddlyWiki.com variant, which you can see in action here: https://that-depends.github.ioBut in everyday usage, Logseq was just so much faster (using purpose written clojure, rather than TW5 plug-ins and personal additional code).
