@Krisss Hi Kris...Thank you so much for sharing beautiful artwork! I wonder if you might diversify your hashtags and not use #AYearForArt every single time I started the hashtag in Jan so more people can be exposed to art. The issue I am getting is people say you are making the hashtag look like spam because you post non-stop. When people search the hashtag, they mostly see your posts. Some are dropping out because of it. Could you use #ArtMatters #BuyIntoArt and others instead sometimes?

@Krisss Kris, Mdon suggests / asks us not to post more, than 3-5 posts a day. Sometimes you post 37 a day, it’s called spammming the page. Our #AYFA could be reported/ blocked by many because of it. Would you be kind to follow Mdon guidelines, pls? Thank you!

Vaccines were a hoax, treatments were a hoax (success marred by false positives). Vaccines were the same shit as nostrums and snake oil. We have the scientific studies. We know about the contamination in the food supply, and the drugs, why does God protect the history of vaccines from factual history?

@Pwilliamsfoto @DoubleTreble @Krisss Thanks Pamela! I’ve been searching for it, bc I remembered reading it when signing up…, but it’s common curtesy not to spam a page. I recall “incessant posting”, “spamming” not allowed and if you post others' work, other than crediting the original artist/author, you must include some form of analysis or opinion on the work posted. Pure reposting of other people's work is not permitted.

@n69n @Pwilliamsfoto @DoubleTreble @EZLorenzImagery I didnt know about it either. I get a lot of positive messages from people telling me they love how my art posts brighten up their timelines. I have never had complaints about this before. But in the future I shall post a little less. It will probably still be more than 3 or 4 a day, but not as much as I used to do.

@SharonCummingsArt @Krisss I realise that a #hashtag that you created may be being used by others, and this may be having an impact on your personal business interests. The hashtag 'aYearForTheArts' is relatively 'vanilla' does not reference you specifically. Personally I have found great pleasure from all the artwork I have found here. Since Mastodon is a friendly welcoming and inclusive place, I would hope you are generous enough to share the space you have created, 🥰

@DoubleTreble @Krisss Absolutely delighted to SHARE! I encourage others to use the hashtag all of the time...There are just so many great hashtags to choose from and this one did have a specific purpose and it looks bad when others think it is "spam"...Since I started this movement, I am the one that get complaints. I merely asked if Kris could use some other hashtags "sometimes" so that the search allows other independent artists to be seen too...I started it to help others, not just myself.

@DoubleTreble @SharonCummingsArt @Krisss As someone who enjoys all of her posts — and has in fact purchased Sharon’s work, I agree with this. The spread of the tag probably signifies what a great tag it is, not misuse. It’s a bummer if it affects the biz somehow (can’t see it myself, but I’m not her), but it’s not a trade dress thing afaict. And this is one of those posts I fear will get me yelled at. Know I am calling it as I see it. Love to all artists.

@goodthinking @DoubleTreble @Krisss I've tried to explain this movement, but it's hard. It was created as a way to empower independent artists to market themselves. to be seen...to feel like there was something they could do to make a difference! It wasn't a business decision selfishly for myself. I did it to HELP OTHER ARTISTS!! When ONE person uses it constantly all day long for MANY posts and floods the search, it looks like spam and goes against the very spirit of the movement.

@Krisss @goodthinking @DoubleTreble Kris...you can absolutely use it! That is welcome. But just asking if you would not use it on EVERY post as that fills the search for it with your profile's posts. It's really lovely for other artists to get a chance to promote themselves and show up. Most of us try to only use it on around 2 or 3 posts per day tops so we don't hog the spotlight so to speak.
