Her characters are incredibly well written especially the dumbasses and any affection they share feels genuine to the those characters.This feels like it was written by an actual queer person trying to escape their own reality and enter a place where girls could just be casually themselves in all the queer ways

The intense ups and downs in a relationship cause your brain to become addicted to high highs and low lows. Healthy relationships give you a steady supply of dopamine. Trauma bonding withholds it and then gives you a sharp increase. For someone who becomes addicted to these spikes, they will associate this as love, and a healthy, normal relationship will feel boring.

@promiscuity @notspookypip I remember a few times near the end where Himawari got genuinely upset and Sakurako did take a step back and I think actually apologized.Their relationship def does not start out all that healthy but they do have an arc sand they do actually care for each other

@Rasp@raru.re @notspookypip@sunbeam.city It's been a while since I last saw the show, lol.Yeah, they do have tender moments of reconciliation and genuine concern they express for each other, and their arguments are usually mundane and something silly like bragging about number of friends or ruining Christmas and it's presented as a rivalry between them.:akko_why:I think the start of their relationship was during their childhood where they were happy and they signed marriage contract and all that, but I think they don't really show how their rivalry started.Should rewatch some time later!:akko_woozy:
