@CitizenWald I honestly can't describe the revulsion I feel reading that article. There is a horror there that has apparently existed my whole adult life. And now my son's entire life. Contemplating that is almost overwhelmingly depressing.

@CitizenWald In The summer of 1980, the Marine Corps had me incarcerated for 12 weeks on Parris Island, SC. For 10 of those 12 weeks, I was issued a Colt M16A1 rifle. The AR-15 was not a big seller in the civilian market. As a Marine Corps veteran, I firmly believe the AR-15 should never have been sold to civilians. The AR-15 become popular during the early 1990s with the assault weapons ban.
