       Maybe my perception of the "AI uber alles" crowd would be less negative if they didn't show with every statement how much they don't care about their fellow human beings. How much they'd jump on every train to superiority over others.

       The whole thing isn't uninteresting technologically and not useless but how a bunch of nihilists celebrate it as a method of further disenfranchisement is just emotionally draining.What a sad view on life and being part of it these people express. They don't need more money to find their planet burning experiments, they need therapy.

       @tante tbh, i too hope that one day, automation will make it unneccessary to have to work for a living, in the sense that an fully automated industry could counter-finance a basic income for everyone. I just don't see this is going to happen with the current understanding of "AI".
