I'm super annoyed that I need to use the software balance to tweak the left channel down about 5% to balance my headphones because I'm not sure what the hell in the audio chain is causing annoying channel imbalance

@Randy_Au A few weeks ago I had the same issue with a pair of Apple earbuds and resolved it by scraping a layer of crud off the tiny screen on the right bud with a toothpick.

@vees !!!luckily these are full sized over-ear headphones so that... shouldn't... be the issue....if it was I'd have to burn the headphones

@Randy_Au Could still be something that worked its way against the cone, maybe some glue or padding that came loose from manufacturing.

oh FML... so I think like 80% of the problem is from a slightly loose connection in... THE DPDT toggle switch I'm using to route audio in my switcher box... wiggling it around got it to connect and the balance is much closer...
