@omglinux I have looked into a few apps, but still struggle the benefit of them. What do these apps offer over the webpage with Firefox (including my addons)? I think the biggest downside of using such a dedicated app is that I can't use my Firefox plugins on them.

@thingsiplay @omglinux I try to avoid web applications when there is native app. Love the lightness and integrarion of native apps. Also all my browser plugins are there just to mitigate downsides of the web anyway.

@thingsiplay @omglinux The support for multiple accounts is the killer feature. Currently I post to them by logging in and out all the time.

@pro I don't think I downplay the fediverse aspect at all. I mention in the opening 3 paragraphs that it's a fediverse client. I chose to focus on using the app with Mastodon, which is just as valid a fediverse example as any other.

@omglinux But the title has changed. It had Fediverse in it previously, and it has Mastodon now. You cannot gaslight out of that simple fact. Yes, the article is well balance, but the author obviously felt a need to rebrand away from Fediverse in the attention-attracting, branding part of the article.

@thingsiplay @omglinux Hmm. It's not bad and solves a similar enough use case, but that multi-container thing is absurdly half-baked. It didn't take me long at all to hit a situation where it somehow pinned the instance to a container. Now every time I want to open anything, the screencapped dialog pops up. And I see no way to clear this condition.
