       @Quest4Blackbeard In my experience (as someone who has been invited to give science programmes at local charter schools), charter-school teachers are different from public-school teachers only in being somewhat younger, somewhat less well paid, and perhaps somewhat less cynical.I don't think it's a good setup, but I suspect the real bad schools mostly charge tuition. The grift instinct is just too strong.
