Listening to someone watching Tennant era Dr Who, I realize it got silly quite early in the reboot era. So why did I keep watching? Because there was still the odd episode that was genuinely chilling, like Blink. It's a shame that tailed off a couple of seasons ago and I just lost interest. Same is happening now with Star Wars and Marvel. Craving something genuinely new and ground-breaking in place of all these nostalgia-fueled retreads.

@strypey Yeah - I lost interest in Dr Who when I grew up too. I lost interest in the reboot when my son grew up. That's what happens with kids shows.

@mokopapaStories accessible to children must be too dumb to interest adults. A great example of adult supremacy right there:https://newint.org/2018/02/06/against-adult-supremacy
