@justizin did it have HFCS in it ? that'd do you. otherwise - point of fact - pasturized milk is not digested properly by the stomach because it lacks the enzymes for the stomach to actually get triggered properly and digest it.pasteurized milk goes STRAIGHT to the colon, and causes bloating, gas and all that fun stuff.:) now that's said, i've never seen ice cream sold and made with raw milk, but that'd really be something and assuredly it would be delicious.

@justizin oh then maybe it has xylitol or erithritol in it. xylitol is made from wood pulp and is indigestible to humans. :)

@modpod no not the pint of ice cream, the pint of heavy cream that i mixed it with to make a shake lol. pint of ice cream is fine and in fact halo top specifically intends for their serving size to be one pint. not sure if that rings true for this size but a pint of ice cream is always an appropriate amount ;d

@justizin interesting! okay from a scientific standpoint your stomach just had to deal with sugar alcohols being indigestible, and the heavy cream and the keto ice cream all at once.im certain you probably feel great by now, and i have the same problem when i make fruit smoothies, i just want to eat the whole blender, but its always too much.

@justizin glad to hear it.and oops. totally curious, while we're on the topic of sugars and craving sweets. have you ever looked into that stomach parasites can actually neuromodulate the host?i found that the first time i tried remedying this for myself, I didn't eat refined sugar or eat ice cream or even want it, for an entire year.

@justizin yep. a classic example is this fungus called cordyceps, and attacks the brain of ants, causing them to kamikaze and get eaten by larger ruminant animals.. kinda crazy.but it applies to humans, too.with the parasite thing, it gets pretty interesting:alcohol- is the byproduct of yeast, for example.so when the yeast colonies start dying off in ones stomach (24-72hours) after drinking last, they start to throw a fit, and this causes people to "want a drink."sugar stuff operates the same way, and those parasites (mostly worms, love sugar because it provides them the easiest meal to metabolize,) and thus the human host eats sugar in one form or other.there's a lot of interesting info about all this, but that's the basics.when you eradicate them, you have some funny poo, and get a little emotional, but then you feel a LOT better. and most everyone has them. that's the other thing. by most I mean upwards of 80% or so of people. Easy to get rid of, though, too.

@modpod (a) i didn’t realize cordyceps from TLOU was a real thing, (b) how do you know if you have parasites and/or get rid of them?

@justizin absolutely a real thing.https://theconversation.com/zombie-ants-meet-the-parasitic-fungi-that-take-control-of-living-insects-118489b) an old tymey cure. Turpentine. 100% organic Pure Gum Spirits. 1-2ml. mixed into about 4tbsp of high quality raw honey. there are specific caveats about taking it, though. like- is the person on pharmaceutical drugs, are they on recreational drugs. pharmaceutical drugs interact badly with just about everything natural. and other caveats like the time of day to take it, and that kind of stuff.but i've done it a few times, and im still here so its not going to kill you if you do it correctly.and you will also find a lot of disinformation about it, on the web as doctors would prefer you to just get sick so they can instead do surgery and sell you pills.
