       @TheGMCSonoma Well, they always do that. And then some stop and others go on.And the French are very hard to beat down, I admire that about them! They will not give up ❤️

       @MaryMarasKittenBakery I like that about them too. We didn’t give up either. The media just stopped covering it so people think it ended. It’s hard to have a successful movement when everyone either thinks you’re a fascist or they just don’t care

       @TheGMCSonoma @MaryMarasKittenBakery I can read and speak French, used to put on raves (in Southern England) with a lot of French people (our countries aren't that far away ) we all used to regularly chat about politics. protests etc. Its true the French are persistent with protests, but cops are equally stubborn - although they don't fire as many live rounds as USA cops they use a lot more heavy stuff like flashbangs, baton rounds, CS gas than even UK and injuries at protests are common >>

       @TheGMCSonoma @MaryMarasKittenBakery there's also an equally tenacious hard right wing in France so its a /constant/ battle for activists, squatters etc - to the point many travelled to England (when we were still in EU) to have some more chilled out time (which is how I got to know them from the rave scene!) - another issue is the protests haven't stopped neoliberalism/captialism so its harder for young people to get jobs as employers push back against legislation to protect them by not hiring

       @vfrmedia @TheGMCSonoma Yes, it's all all awful mess. I just don't see a way out unless we all really find a way to make our protests heard and count. And they are certainly trying to make this a lot harder.
