       @ldottxt @swagpussc Yeah Americans pay silly money for their glasses, it's extortion. I'm a Brit and went private for mine, yet paid less for two pairs (one blue-tinted and UV-protective, because I've been struggling with bright sunlight and glare since long Covid), and *still* only paid around half the money they pay for one pair, stateside.Those without the pennies here can get basic glasses for free on the NHS. They won't be Gucci or anything, but will be of functional quality.
