Hey foss and decentralization enthusiasts, there are currently three popular protocols for instant messaging. These are XMPP, Matrix, and ActivityPub. My goal is to create a 3 in 1 client that allows the user to seamlessly chat with others on the XMPP, Matrix, and ActivityPub networks while following a consistent layout and chat messenger design.Theoretically this should be simple, it's just writing 3 clients in one, but I have a feeling it'll be a massive undertaking.
