I'm thinking about new notebook from @tuxedocomputers Ca. 15 in., good performance, no NVIDIA (bit problematic on openSUSE Tumbleweed), numeric keyboard. I don't care about weight. InfinityBook S 15 is bit pricy for what it has. π I also prefer AMD and higher screen res. All Polaris 15, InfinityBook Pro 16, Gemini 15 and Stellaris 15 look good, but why is there compulsory NVIDIA? π

@tuxedocomputers Yes, https://www.tuxedocomputers.com/en/Linux-Hardware/Notebooks/15-16-inch/TUXEDO-Pulse-15-Gen2.tuxedo indeed looks very well, there was also recently very positive Czech review https://www.root.cz/clanky/notebook-tuxedo-pulse-15-gen2-pracant-pripraveny-na-linux/ Just... Would You have also version with numerical keyboard? π So far it seems that neither Tuxedo, neither Slimbook has exactly what I need. π I have ageing Dell Latitude, bit loosing power now, and also for that money I'd expect higher manufacturing quality, so slowly looking for replacement...

@Salix what about the TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro 16? Not only NVIDIA and bigger screen but no wide chassis?

@tuxedocomputers This one I like a lot!It might be completely wrong, but somehow I don't fully trust that Intel's concept of Performance/Efficient-cores and somehow I like more AMD Ryzen. On the other hand, benchmarks show the Intel to have better performance... Hmmm... Time to discard prejudices? π If I have to choose mobility or performance, I vote for performance.Generally I wonder, why manufacturers prefer touchpads without buttons, and so few ports on so large notebooks (no RJ-45). π

@tuxedocomputers Finally π we bought it for my wife. She likes it a lot, as do I. π I only dislike absence of buttons in touchpad (How to middle click?) and keyboard: relatively small printing of letters, shrink numeric keyboard and placement of arrows. I might be too used to my old decaying Dell Latitude. πAnd I'd prefer higher performance CPU. Stellaris without NVIDIA, possibly with high-end AMD? π
