@tante back in the days spotify devs where on irc. I asked a question similar to this and they responded something like "these decisions are made based on data. the data might not necessarily include user feedback"so yeah. monopolies doing monopoly things

@tante Probably because people who feel so strongly about specific artists as to wish for this feature generally don't use feeds in the first place.

@tante I assume it's to preserve the ability to charge the labels/artists extra for promotional inclusion in lists. If the user could block someone specific it wouldn't be as "effective" as a marketing tool.
