       @therobburgessshow anyone have a link on how UBI could work? How would we prevent our corporate overlords from simply raising prices and rendering it moot? Because if we've learned anything over the last few years, it's that that is exactly what they'll do.

Our private health care here in USA is most expensive in the world and produces worse outcomes per dollar compared to the many govt health care options around the world. State university is much cheaper and the more we privatized the more expensive it has gotten...

       @Beeks @therobburgessshow If prices where perfectly tied to spending power there wouldn't be much poverty or much wealth: the same quality food and shelter would cost half as much in a country where income is half as high.I think the free market will take care of it (though we may need to enforce a true free market after decades of pampering of companies): the baker who reacts to his customers having twice as much money by making bread twice as expensive should be outcompeted by the baker who makes bread twice as expensive *and* invests some of this higher price into buying better ingredients.
