I guess the time has come to stop using Edge. I absolutely can't stand nor tolerate anything crypto. In fact, I have so many filters for crypto/NFT stuff in place as I don't want to see that stuff in any way.https://www.theverge.com/2023/3/21/23649834/microsoft-edge-cryptocurrency-wallet-feature#EdgeBrowser #Tech #AllThingsTech

@CliffWade A better question is why are you using Edge?

@CliffWade for me edge lost any value it has when abandoned the Trident engine. It was much better than the original IE and most importantly, it was not chrome.

@kylewritescode Because it is a great browser with so many small little features that Chrome itself doesn't have. Plus, back when I was streaming and partnered on Mixer, Chrome had a bug(still around 4 years later) with regards to my audio setup that Edge didn't have and still doesn't have it. So I switched to Edge to get around that bug and absolutely loved all the nice features that it has.

@CliffWade I've used Edge for a while but finally ditched it in an effort to get rid of Big Tech services Back to LibreWolf, never looked back :librewolf: ⭐

@CliffWadeThe time to stop using Edge came a very long time ago, but this is another great reason to steer clear

@andy I don't know. That's why I'm open to suggestions as I'm sure there are tons of browsers out there that I have never heard of.

@deberian I've honestly never heard of it until earlier when someone else mentioned it. Tell me why I should consider it?

@CliffWade i would still never use edge, but i dont mind a wallet being built in. Mind i wouldnt trust its security though. Crypto in many different forms is the future. Dns, stocks, dirivatives, currency, supply chains, etc.

@shortwavesurfer2009 I personally disagree. That's not the future and not something I want anything to do with in any way. Edge works great for many things, for me at least.

@CliffWade fair enough. I have been involved with crypto since ~2014 and find it an amazing area. However i know some people disagree and i respect that. However, nobody will avoid it as even our current currencies (USD, EUR, CNY, JPY, etc) will eventually be Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and the only way to fight totalitarianism where the government can track every purchase you make, choose how much you can save, punish you for wrongthink, etc will be with real cryptocurrency such as monero.

@shortwavesurfer2009 I respect anyone who is involved with it as that's all you to them to do of course. I'm old enough that I won't be around when all of that happens that you mentioned which I'm thankful for and won't have to deal with it. LOL

@CliffWade i am young enough that i will be affected. We are seeing the starts all over the world even today. I would not be shocked to see the systems fully in place and being forced by 2030.
