I didn't understand how to use that, from the screenshots on their site. looks like it has no normal music notation and it's not evident how to write music not in notes but in some strange grids and squares.

@iron_bug That's a kind of a mix of modern DAWs and old trackers. IMHO, approach of music trackers are also close to style of writing music in notes. There's each column dedicated to the specific sample and you setting up the sample pitch in ABC notation moving across the time axis. In this kind of software you writing music in vertical, not horizontal, as usual, way.

but this is unusable! when I see notes I can read music. when I look at these greeds I see nothing.

@iron_bug From that point almost all DAWs is unusable :) The purpose of such software is not to keep composition readable as it will be on sheet music

but when you compose music, you write notes, you use keys, not think A#2.Db4...

for improvisation I use real musical instruments. I cannot imagine "improvising" in grids with letters and numbers :)
