       There's been a lot of hate for democracy as a governing system historically and I understand why. Looking at recent history though, public referenda have surprisingly gone against the will of the class of unelected government officials. Brexit and prop 8 come to mind as examples. It's got me thinking limited franchise direct democracy might not be such a bad idea.
