@SirRichard @Dan_Ramos there probably is but it would honestly be much easier and cheaper to get the retrotink device, I use one for n64, ps1-2, ogxbox and dreamcast. https://www.retrotink.com/

@TigerMcMeowMeowFace @Dan_Ramos i have something like that. but sometimes they have mods that can get a cleaner signal from bypassing the composite all together...

@SirRichard @Dan_Ramos I've got a few of my consoles modded with them, some are extreamly hard to install without good soldering skills. I want to put the stellar HD on my Xbox but I just am not that skilled.

@SirRichard Not that I'm aware of.. but then why not just directly connect it to the TV's A/V input, or just use the usual cheap A/V to HDMI converter?

@PapaVanTwee A quick look-over.. I'm not sure that he's really being all that technical with them (repairing, maintaining, restoring or even using then to show what they were able to do). No? He seems more historian than anything.

@SirRichard @TigerMcMeowMeowFace I haven't done HDMI to an Atari 2600 but I did put in an S-Video output in my 4-switch woody, not that I find it makes much difference... the picture is extremely clear even in composite.

@Dan_Ramos @SirRichard with even the nes Era I have to wo Der if hdmi makes any real difference, I have to admit it looks bad to me in hdmi, even many snes games look bad when you convert the signals

@TigerMcMeowMeowFace @Dan_Ramos it is mostly about getting the cleanest signal possible from the machine. for some machines it may not improve

@SirRichard @Dan_Ramos oh yea I knew that, I guess what I mean is many game devs back then knew that there was defects and designed some graphics around that (sonic waterfalls on gen) (almost anything made by squaresoft and rare on snes) take out the defects and the games look wrong. At least with the pre 3D gens

@TigerMcMeowMeowFace @SirRichard Yep! Sometimes a pure signal from the video chip is DETRIMENTAL to the picture that the console was intended to show. NTSC/PAL artifacting and blurring were taken into account when they designed the graphics and sharply displaying them in HDMI ruins the intended effect.Case in point where I put in a pure HDMI signal output from the ANTIC+GTIA using an Antonia upgrade on my 600XL... it looks SHARP in mono but ruins artifacting that some apps depended on.

@Pendragon Let me know.. Atari 2600's are notoriously easy to fix.. Often just needing a new set of capacitors or a replacement voltage rectifier MOSFET.
