Do you collect anything such as stuffed animals, dolls, nick knacks or anything else?I personally collect Android mini figurines and have for years. Most of mine come from @deadzebra but I have a few from other places including a couple of custom made Android mini figurines. If you collect anything, show me a picture of your collection in the comments! Thanks to @kylewritescode for giving me this idea when he mentioned Lego's in his post.#Collection #Collectors #Android #Figurines

@CliffWade While not technically a collection (not in the sense of trying to be exhaustive), I have occasionally bought some classic lenses that fit specific themes. I have many of the Nikon F lenses whose focal lengths are measured in cm instead of mm (i.e. released between 1959 and 1962), I have a full set of Nikon series E lenses, I have many of the Pentax 67 lenses, and I have several of the lenses that Ken Rockwell describes as the worst ones (I have the mechanical ones). Sorry, no photo...

@jbqueru Oh very nice! I've tried to get into photography with cameras before and just wasn't successful and I quickly learned that it can be expensive as there are lenses for just about anything and everything. So I can easily see how having a collection of lenses is a thing.

@CliffWade @deadzebra @kylewritescode I have collected a few different things when I was younger, baseball cards, Garbage Pail Kids cards, etc. As an adult, I say I really collect anything, except maybe guitars and knives and I don't really have an extensive or particularly valuable collection of either. Here's a pic of my guitars, though.

@Burnt_Veggies @deadzebra @kylewritescode Garbage Pail Kids. What a flashback! I remember when those came out. I collected them briefly. I did have a baseball and football card collection when I was a kid that I wish I still had today.Nice looking guitars and I'm sure there's a bit of money involved even though it's a smaller collection.

@CliffWade Yeah, even without trying to be a collector, photography lenses are like audiophile equipment, falling very quickly into diminishing returns while costing thousands at a time.At the same time, photography is primarily about skills, not about equipment, and specialized lenses are just that, specialized. It takes remarkably little equipment to be able to get extremely credible results. A Canon T100 costs less than $300 new with lens, and its results are already limited by user skills.

@jbqueru I bought some Lumix G1 or something a few years back for like $500 I believe it was thinking I was going to get into photography and what I quickly learned was that it was my lack of skills, and knowledge, that was going to hold me back. Unfortunately I was really busy with Nova Launcher related stuff at the time that I didn't put forth a lot of effort but I also realized it could end up being an expensive hobby.

@CliffWade Yes, that's more than enough camera to get solid results already, but photography takes time.A photography rule of thumb: convince yourself that each picture you take has to be a keeper, and expect that only 1% of what you take ends up being good enough to put in an album (and a tenth of that worth framing or gifting, i.e. 1-in-1000).

@jbqueru Very true indeed. And I quickly learned that I didn't want to show my bad images, which meant I didn't want to show any of mine, so I decided to give up photography. LOL

@CliffWade @kylewritescode I collect magnets and they mostly hang out on my fridge. They generally reflect where I've lived, worked or visited. They are easy and inexpensive to pick up at airports and gift shops and simple to store, LOL.My DH loves the animal butts. My state map travel collection constantly reminds me where my travel gaps are.#Collection #Magnets

@CliffWade @deadzebra @kylewritescode cool collection. I'm afraid I only collect belly fat, and you do NOT want a photo of that.

@CliffWade @deadzebra @kylewritescode I still have my baseball cards. Mostly Topps worth maybe a few cents each, but maybe some worth a few bucks in there. I have no idea what happened to my GPK cards.

@CliffWade @deadzebra @kylewritescode Two of the guitars on that rack cost me less than $150 each. The rest were under a grand each. I have two others not pictured, one was around $200 and the other around $1500 (my most prized guitar). I have owned and sold others over the years. I've been playing for over 25 years, so those expenses have been spread out over that time.

@CliffWade Oh... my... I love it! I've always seen a lot of folks with these little guys on their desks or shelves but only the OG green one, but there are so many different types! Eeek.

@kcseb There are thousands and thousands more that I obviously don't have. Googlers get all sorts of these given to them and those are often worth hundreds of dollars each.

@CliffWade Reminds me of the Funko Pop scene. Something as simple as little vinyl figures can be worth as much as the tech in our pockets and on our wrists... Quite interesting in a way.

@kcseb Indeed. And since you mentioned Funko Pops, I wish I could take a picture here at this house, but I don't have them displayed anywhere due to lack of room. But I have about 500 Funko Pops as well that the wife and I used to collect. Currently they are in boxes and stored in the attic.

@CliffWade @kcseb Did you see that Funko recently decided to dump $10M of unsold Pops into a landfill? They can eat shit and go out of business for all I care.

@jcrabapple @kcseb No I didn't see that. That's insane. Luckily I stopped collecting them several years ago and certainly won't go back to collecting them again because of that alone.

@jcrabapple @kcseb Damn, that's insane. Not surprised that they have way too much inventory. I saw that coming a few years back when Funko's were the craze.
