@bless @grumpy @prouddegenerate yes but nopastels are generally pale colors, and the utensils for pastels are mostly chalkish blocks without any of the wood wrapping you get on regular pencils

@grumpy absolutely trueevery christmas company party my family dragged me to had caricature artists hired and they had fancy markers (some were even that flesh-pink tone which kinda blew my mind) and not a damn one of them ever used pencils at all
