@Owl @n3f_X It's talent and marketability. Marketability carries far more weight. The music industry is loaded with random "literally who"s that get one EP and a few singles. They pull people from Instagram now instead of trying to find local talent. They use shows like American Idol or AGT to test marketability but if there's enough traction with the singles that initially drop they'll just bring in some B list people for collabs to make a full album. If talent was what mattered, we'd have more āAdele' and less āCardie Bāāliterally an Instagram thot turned "musicianā.
