@Rogue_Koala This video was fascinating. It reminded me of a book I read years ago, called Systems of Survival, by Jane Jacobs, who is herself a fascinating figure. In this book, the author compares two different moral schemas which are both required in humanity, both present, but mutually contradictory. One is the Authoritarian schema, comparable to the "soldiers" in this video, and common to hierarchical structures, such as armies, religions and even corporations. The other is the Commercial, or Marketplace schema, more like the "scouts" of this video. In the Authoritarian mindset, might makes right, loyalty is the highest value, and the ends justifies the means. In the Marketplace schema, power, including physical power, is de-emphasized, the highest value is truth-telling, and fairness and a level playing field matter more than winning at any cost.Is it just me, or does the Authoritarian model seem more like a manly way of thinking, and moving through the world? While the Marketplace schema, seems more like how women weigh moral conundrums? Another shorthand: Raiders and traders. Just food for thought.

@sunhatpat Agree, I like the term raiders and traders best. Why work out strategies that are fair and balanced when you can just take. I think the top end of male strategy would be a raider world. Similar to the way films portray a group leader in apocalyptic stories. Mass raids, taking all provisions, murder, torture, taking slaves. It isn't a good strategy for long term existence.
