Basically, whenever you see a #YouTube video whose title includes the words: "This will change everything" -- you can usually skip the video without missing pretty much anything.

@lauren must be an LA thing :-). I never learned how to watch TV/movies as a kid and without an intuition for its grammar I can’t grok that linear stuff. My mind wanders. My sister missed a year of school due to an injury and watched a year of TV so can watch it as an adult without problem. Nice A/B test, eh?

@bigbee @lauren How does someone who is not Taylor Swift get almost 4 million views in 9 hours? I usually avoid most of this by having the YouTube Subscriptions page as my bookmark, just occasionally popping over to the home page.

@TonyJWells @bigbee I have no idea who you guys are talking about, but as far as delivery drones are concerned they cannot scale in an economical way in urban and most suburban contexts for ordinary deliveries -- basic geography and population density controls (not to mention the "last feet" delivery problem for anyone without a front or backyard -- like most apartment dwellers) -- this applies whether you land the drone, lower the payload, or parachute it down). The calculus can be different in more rural areas for urgent deliveries (e.g. medical supplies) and there are some operational systems in that context.

@bigbee @TonyJWells Glanced at the video. He completely misses the point of why drone delivery is impractical and uneconomical in non-rural areas for conventional products. Getting the stuff to the ground is an issue, but all the other issues swamp that out entirely.

@lauren @bigbee I decided against watching the clickbait, so many issues with mass adoption of drones for delivery, as opposed to some genuine niche areas. I once said ordering pizza over the internet seemed like too much work though!
