Just watched a vid about kids in Afghanistan who are looking for bombs left over from the wars so they can scrap it for a few bucks a day and all I can think and feel is.. "pain and how can I can change this.." but there is so little I can do.. It's perhaps easy thinking but I do wonder if 'important people' with power don't watch such videos in their spare time and have the same feelingsBut maybe they got in power in the first place because the lack of feelings..

And I know I 'don't have to watch it' but....I feel like, if I do and give it a place in my mind and by any miraculous reason I become powerful or wealthy I can go back and actually do something about such thingsNot that I don't try if im not powerful but there are SO many things that are heartbreaking.. now it's more like chosing

@stux You ARE doing something, right now.Discussing things you care about while many people listen to you is so much better than only saying what they want to hear.If more people are aware, it puts pressure on their governments to at least not make things worse.It can remove support from politicians who do, in fact, make things worse.And don't underestimate how important it is to convince only one or two random people. If you can do just that, you've done a lot already.

@stux There's an empty gap in the powerful.It's been shown in studies that the rich, as people, are hugely more likely to cheat to gain advantage. Once they can consider us as a herd to be farmed, they 'other' and despise us and trap us in debt, a real incarceration, but mental rather than physical. I heard Kushner refer to death as being 'a thing of the past now'. They think they will be the first to live forever.
