       @anneapplebaum They're training school kids in Russia for the military right now.  Young. Children.Any bets on which kids will be sent to the front line first?  There is no bottom to their pit of depravity.

       @AnnieBuddy @anneapplebaum If you're referring to the videos of middle-schoolers in Crimea stripping and re-assembling rifles, this is a throwback to something they did in schools in the USSR.  The kids aren't being conscripted, *only* brainwashed with militarism.

       @carlitoscohones @anneapplebaum Yet.  Reviving soviet acts does not make any less ominous.  Downplaying it as "only" brainwashing is the same thinking that gave us "Russia will never invade".Brainwashing a used by every military around the world to train their troops.  They tell you what they're doing, why downplay it?  The brainwashing is just one step towards the battlefield.  You don't include weapons unless you want them to be able to use them to kill without thinking twice.
