Do any Android users with updated devices know how to turn off VoLTE? Seems like all the instructions I can find are outdated. Would you please boost for reach.

@dangoodin AFAIK, if your phone doesn't have an Exynos chipset (if you're worried about the new exploit concerns) you aren't involved. U.S. versions of many of the Samsung phones used Snapdragon chipsets instead.

@lauren You're right that the vulnerability affects only Exynos chips. I haven't found a way to turn off VoLTE on these vulnerable devices when they're running recent versions of Android. Any idea?

@dangoodin Normally they're in the Settings->Connections->Mobile Networks options I think.

@dangoodin @lauren https://9to5google.com/2023/03/16/google-exynos-modem-vulnerabilities/According to an older Sprint/T-Mobile support article, “Google Pixel devices received software updates in 2021 that automatically enabled VoLTE and removed the toggle.”

@chipchristian @dangoodin @lauren apparently Pixel phones have an available patch (March 23 security update). (I have no non-public info.) No idea on other devices. What fun!

@tdierks @chipchristian @dangoodin My S20 got hit with two updates within 3 days from yesterday. But it's Snapdragon so these vulnerabilities are apparently not in scope.

@chipchristian @lauren Yes, I know. But there are many devices that STILL don't have updates. I want to know how users of these devices turn off VoLTE.

@dangoodin @chipchristian Typically when the option is present it's in the Mobile Networks settings, since it is network specific. Often in the same general settings area as SIM settings.
