I like the analogy of a movie, or even a book. The person who wrote it knows everything that happens, but you the reader do not. You acquire knowledge in a linear fashion. I had somebody tell me that time travel would eliminate the existence of free will, because if I could know in advance what your choices would be then you weren't making free choices at all - even if you did nothing with that knowledge. @Owl @Naxi @Xenophon @errante Part of the problem may be that you are still stuck in time.God sees all time, all at once.Have you ever taken someone to see a movie you have already seen?Imagine if you had seen a movie about the complete arc, birth to death, of a friend.Somehow, you take this friend to see the movie of their life...except they are still in the process of filming the movie.That's kind of how it is.I've re-read this back and I think I've made this worse.It is very early here and I haven't had near enough coffee.This is a link to my more...professionally written work in this area.If you choose, you can peruse this and DM me if you have questions. @Owl @Naxi @Xenophon @DavidMartinArt @errante Might help to think of some concrete analogies. Let's say you're a man with a pliable wife. Your mother in law is in your wife's ear about rescheduling your anniversary dinner for whatever reason. You could put your foot down and tell her in no uncertain terms that you are keeping it as is, but in that case she is just bending to the least compliant person. Is she actually choosing you over her mother or has she just responded to the most pressure? And so you allow her to make the choice herself. When she makes the wrong decision, with negative consequences for your relationship, she could push back on you and say that you could have pressured her into the right call - but you value free choice and loyalty more than you value compliance. You don't want a wife who is coerced into valuing you. You want somebody who cares enough to do the right thing regardless of pressure. To say "how can you blame me for doing the wrong thing, you could have *forced* me into the right choice." It a bit absurd and feminine.

@Owl @Xenophon @Naxi @DavidMartinArt @errante I think the response to the question shows that it was raised as a way to shift the blame.>God says to man: "You have sinned and will now be punished!">Man says to God: "But you made me this way! You are God and I am but a mere man I've just done what you made me to do!"The other part of the equation is God's right to do what He wants with creation. He made it and everything in it so He has every right to do with it whatever He wants. This is rather difficult to come to terms with though but we can take comfort in that God is truly good, loving and earnestly wishes for what is best for us for our own sake.
