I've been pretty quiet on #Mastodon recently, but it's not for lack of interest! I’ve been working on my Mastodon-integrated gallery app (codename: Vulcanodon), and making some good progress. It's a working portfolio site, with tagging, sets, and rudimentary access control. But most importantly, it posts to your Mastodon, and keeps track of which post is associated with an artwork, its, favourites, replies etc.So it's about 10% done…

More features planned, like importing from Mastodon, print sales, Patreon integration. Although Patreon is such a pain to work with I’ve half a mind to write an inbuilt pledge system.

@fmmniell It's essentially a CMS for making a gallery website, that uses your existing Mastodon account to post artwork. It keeps in sync with the post, and can show the favourites, and comments (if you choose). I'm also planning to have it be able to follow your account and import stuff automatically if you prefer posting directly to Mastodon.

@weirdwriter @fediversereport @pixelfed It should work with Pixelfed, because the client API is pretty much the same*, but I haven't tested it yet. *Pixelfed would log you out every 15 days if I don't write special code for it.

@john I like that approach. In a way, it is similar to #IndieWeb, it pulls in the content from your other online presence and displays it in your own website.The third-party services then become our “posting” channel, then it shows up in our own domain. It's like a CMS or blogging platform connected to the #Fediverse, but the other way around.Did I understand it correctly? @fmmniell

@tommi @pixelfed because I have a mastodon account here at sauropods.win, which I want to use. Pixelfed is too restrictive.
