       @karolherbst bonus points if the same person also replies with "just don't {click links,be dumb/stupid,use <product>,run random things}" to anything security related such as verified/secure boot, exploit mitigations, least privilege, encryption and authentication, not using EOL devices and software, etc like they have never worked in a tech job before.

       @karolherbst @r3g_5z As someone who actually likes C, I have to say that you're all absolutely right. Even if you follow those recommendations, and you know precisely what you're doing, you're still going to get something wrong.The only use cases for C I have at the moment is:Testing some aspect of a C API before I use it via FFI from a different languageProgramming retro operating systems (such as Riscos)
