@kairyssdal irrational either way. We no longer live in a stable place. People are swinging so wildly.

@kairyssdal If the Fed pauses next week they'll get excoriated by some analysts for dooming the economy by their inaction, and by others for failing to plan properly.Of course, that's true regardless of what they do, so it's kind of a safe prediction.

@kairyssdal I think a bunch of money will flow from bonds to stocks because 'woo! pivot!', but I think a lot of bad news is already being baked-up in the real world, much unrelated to the Fed Rate, and that's still gonna come out of the oven.(Commercial real estate delinquency is starting to spook me, that's a lot of money)

@kairyssdal Same as pausing while pulling off a band-aid. You just prolong the agony.

@kairyssdalMonetary policy cannot fix a (re)distribution problem with money. Only government taxing and spending can fix a distribution problem. The rich have won the war for power and money and yet they continue to fight for more power and money so the only possible outcome is instability and eventually violence. The people have to exorcise money from politics one way or another or the rich have to realize that by winning they will only lose to violence.
