@ParadeGrotesque there's another layer to this metaphor: Carnival games will often *let* one person win a very large, easily seen prize in order to make the game look more winnable. Even further, they will use a ringer who later *returns* the prize, thus ensuring everyone else gives them tons of money just to keep trying.

I mean, it doesnāt make you a bad person to benefit from your parentsā wealth, and sure, there are a lot of hard-working rich kids.
