Wrote up some notes on a system I put together tonight to help me keep track of when my content shows up on Reddit, by scraping the Reddit search API and writing any matching posts to my personal Datasette Cloud instance: https://til.simonwillison.net/datasette/reddit-datasette-write

This was a spur-of-the-moment hack this evening, but I have a personal rule that the price of hacking something together like this is I HAVE to write about it in some form, so a quick TIL is the resultI did something similar for Hacker News monitoring a while ago - that's documented in a bit more detail in this blog post: https://simonwillison.net/2022/Dec/2/datasette-write-api/

@simon I've been using influx and grafana like this as a general purpose time series tool. It's very nice when it's so easy to collect and visualize data. Datasette is a much more general purpose tool, I like seeing what you do with it.
