@downey instead of flat out locking people out, it should be standard to instead have "It appears you're using an unsupported browser, use firefox chrome blah blah blah, click here to proceed anyway, some elements may not appear or work correctly"

@downey This.I'm using #Blackboard for online classes, and #Waterfox isn't technically supported by #Blackboard. I get notifications...but that's it, it still lets me use the site.I have #Brave installed only as a last resort, for compatibility reasons

@nihilistic_capybara using different browsers for different purposes. It's usually called the 3-browser-concept: e.g. 1 browser for "general use", 1 for more sensitive stuff, 1 (usually TorBrowser) for sites you'd otherwise rather not visit (because of trackers etc). I use a 4th (ungoogled Chromium) just for video conferences (so 5 was rather slightly exaggerating).
