Browning and Whitey wanted to say hi. 👋🐁🐀 We had to clean their apartment so they had to hang out in a ceramic popcorn bowl. I usually pet them for a few minutes, they're hand fed most nights and it keeps tame. 🙂🐭#pets #MiceOfMastodon #mice

@WarregoCarerIf they would allow me to have them in my town I would. I grew up on a farm with chickens, pigs, cows, horses, sheep, and goats. So I'd give kangaroo rescue a go.

@KissAnneI have kept snakes before, boa constrictor and python plus a few native Missouri snakes. NO SPIDERS! I can't stand spiders, I've been bitten by a poisonous one in the past, snake too but that was my fault.

@KissAnneI've had dental surgery and a vasectomy but didn't miss any work.Unfortunately I'm sure I've been at work while sick. Growing up on a farm there were no sick days and there are no sick days here. My employer actually respects my work ethic and I isolate as much as possible.If I had paid sick time off I'd like to think I'd take it but currently it's not offered.

@That_One_Guy It's not good to work when you're sick. But I understand your problem - if you are not paid, you have to be at work. In Finland everyone has a right to be home when they are sick and they get paid. That's the law. Of course there are professions where that's not possible. Like cattle owners, animals must be fed no matter what.

@That_One_Guy I think people in Finland have very high work ethic. Maybe it comes from the war years. We had to rebuild this country after the war. I'm happy we have a right to have a paid sick leave. Good benefits are equally for everyone

@That_One_Guy I have 5 weeks' paid summer holiday and 2,5 weeks' paid winter holiday. Usually it's 4 weeks in the summer and 1 week in the winter in Finland. It depends on where you work.

@KissAnneIn this case it means my boss let's some things slide because I'm reliable and have been here as long as he has.For example I still take a cigarette break at 10:30am but haven't smoked a cigarette in almost 15 years. He knows I quit smoking and congratulated me on the accomplishment but never put a stop to my smoke breaks.
