Huh, who knew that people who spread payments for Papa John's over 7 weeks would be struggling financially

@graf @pasture That reminds me of this colored fellow I knew who, instead of using his credit card like a normal person, would withdraw thousands from the ATM (at 37% interest) and go shopping that way.

@graf @pasture I have totally exploited affirm to split one big payment into two on an expensive computer part. They literally didn't benefit from it at all, I just didn't want to pay the full amount all at once.

@GatorTime @graf @pasture It's Klarna and Afterpay that are loaded with the subprime borrowers. Affirm has like 3x less the amount of borrowers because they require a decent credit score

@GatorTime @graf @pasture I think that's called a payment plan, where you actually pay extra for doing multiple payments on a monthly basis. But I wouldn't know, I live in Europe.

@Dicer @graf @pasture Well technically the payment plan would have been over a few months, but I actually just wanted to split the payment in two and there was no option to do that. I didn't even have to pay extra.

@GatorTime @Dicer @pasture this is common here because a lot of people dont have enough credit on a single card to cover some large purchases, surprised they let you do it online tbh
