       Does anybody sell prepaid 4G LTE cell service that's not month-to-month?

       @vees I think Mint Mobile will let you buy a year of service at a time.

       @benhaube I should have been specific that I'm looking for something that's not delineated by month intervals but by actual usage. I used to be able to buy a block of minutes many years ago. Does that still exist?

       @vees Oh okay. That I don't know. I don't have a whole lot of experience with prepaid cell plans. My husband and I have been on TMobile post paid for years now. I'm sorry 😐

       @vees https://www.pagepluscellular.com/plans/  They have 4G pay-as-you-go. They're a Verizon MVNO.

       @jeannie This is just what I need (giving kid a trial of carrying an old phone once in a while without a big up-front expense).

       @vees their data is expensive but I used them years ago with my and my daughter's not-smart-but-still-clever phones. Still much cheaper than a contract.

       @jeannie Looks like in spite of the Verizon purchase because of the T-Mobile history it only supports phones that support VoLTE (voice over LTE) which apparently an old iPhone 6S is not.
