@stanford hey Stanford - that's not what I consider spam. Great to hear from youWhat's the deal with Cloudflare? Genuinely interested. You must have a good story behind that. The pineapple pizza thing, I'm 100% with you. It should be made illegal.

@ukb Well, for years we fight for a secure and encrypted Internet and then we are all adding cloudflare as a man in the middle (because all traffic is completely unencrypted at Cloudflare)? We are all blaming Facebook, google and co for tracking you across websites. But they barely see what you are doing on those websites compared to Cloudflare. CF sees everything, everything you post every DM etc. Last but not least, they are simply too big. 18% of all websites are using Cloudflare?! It's just a crazy number. All of them routing their traffic completely unencrypted through servers of a US company offering most of their services for free 🙄

@stanford I confess I use Cloudflare for a number of client sites. I also admit I hadn't considered the security aspect simply because they are the de facto provider which is one of your pointsLazy on my part I know

@ukb It is kinda difficult to talk about cloudflare, because they are not just the evil cooperation (like maybe FB or Google), Cloudflare did a lot good for the internet by contributing a lot to various technologies. But there service and position as such, is still a mayor security and privacy concern. If we think about google ads, or even fronts on websites as a privacy concern, then we should also talk about Cloudflare due to the named reasons. So, its great that I made someone thinking about it :blobcat:
