PSA: below is an image I'm sure a lot of you have seen. It's a traffic detection loop. When your vehicle is in the loop it signals the traffic control box that a vehicle is in it, which let's the traffic light know that is needs to change soon. Nothing that you came do will change how fast or slow that will occur. They are a timed device in the control box. I know because I have installed 100's of them. So please stop flashing your light, rocking your vehicle back & forth.

@grey_ghost What should you do when they don't change, for 3-4 cycles, please?

@EugestShirley If you don't see these lines cut in the asphalt then the system is using cameras mounted the traffic signal somewhere. These cameras operate somewhat the same. Engineers draw a box on the image and when a vehicle enters that box it signals the control box Again if it doesn't change report it to local municipality

@EugestShirley That means the loop is broken and needs to be replaced. The main straight aways will set to a default timed change. The turn lanes are usually the only ones that don't have that setting. Report that to the local municipality to get replaced
