       After much eBay searching I landed on an MZ-N910 NetMD-capable MiniDisc 💽 recorder. Should arrive in two weeks, coming from Japan. There’s still software you can use to write to it via USB at 16-64x speed depending on the audio quality you want. It’s not the most high-end one but it’s the most reliable. The high-end HiMD capable ones can store 1GB of audio and data but they’re either ugly or the best one has 20+ year old OLED displays that are dying and often need a tricky replacement 💽
