       @arstechnica Not a massive surprise that vinyl is overtaking CDs.When you can stream a very recent remaster of a song, digitised with the latest codecs, the only reasons to own a physical copy of media are ones that apply more to vinyl that to CD.Whether it's nostalgia factor, or the artwork on the sleeve, or the bonus material it comes with, vinyl albums trump CDs.Use cases for CDs over both vinyl *and* MP3 / misc online formats must be very narrow.
