@clive yep, and the launch parties (including my own).. also remember seeing the cavernous empty offices full of Aerons, both in NYC and the Bay Area. After the bust I was in the Bay Area for awhile. I drove to Oakland one day for a sale of cast-off dotcom stuff. I bought an Kozmo ball cap for two dollars. I still have it.

@clive I wept over the Stargate machine in Apple IL3 that never got played. (They did, however, build an amazing K'nex model there over the course of a couple weekends)I wept harder over the Atari football game—the stand-up one with the track ball that gave you calluses—at TEN that never got playedAnd I wept hardest of all for that barely used CHEXX bubble hockey game at Gary Vaynerchuk's officeIn contrast, the ping pong table at the hedge fund got used pretty much every day. Go figure

@clive ha! I remember distinctly when sixapart moved into real office in south park that had previously been some sort of sitcom - we found a football table and pets.com plushie in the office and joked about bad omens - we shoulda saged 😜

@clive I've owned Stargate and Missile Command for 25+ years but sold the Atari Football before the x-country move. The upkeep on these machines gets more challenging every year. (The Tempest controller was the worst.)The Stargate is also a Defender and a Robotron. Williams made it so that all you have to do is swap out the boards and the joystick chassis. It's currently configged as Robotron, but I'll revert to Stargate soon.
