So I reinstalled a clean version of Windows on my previous laptop from work I could not return :blobcatgiggle: Thing is.. It's a clean Windows version and only Unreal Engine has been installed and that's over 100GB already :nkoFacepalm: There's only 117GB total..How much can Windows 11 take these days? :windows:

@stux the bloat is ridiculous. I ended up moving the gaming rig and an old laptop that my son uses to AtlasOS. I did use https://github.com/builtbybel/ThisIsWin11 before I transitioned.

@stux Doesn't sound right to me. I'm using 106G here which is Windows 11 plus a bunch of applications plus a couple of decades' data. So Unreal Engine must be quite big?

@stux I am using Windows 10 still and yes, the OS grabs too much memory. A 256 GB SSD/HDD is barely enough. Especially when you want to use MS-Office, too …

@stux 28gb for Windows 11 with a bunch of crap installed or 26gb for MacOS with a bunch of crap installed...I haven't tried unreal though to know how big that sucker is.

@stux I put a 1tb NVMe drive in for primary disk and happy as a clam on my Windows 11 pc.But.. i also run it on my surface and that's only 128gb hdd.. but no Unreal on there, just web browser and WSL for Linuxmy mac has a 1tb nvme as well so i just take it for granted there

@stux The windows partition of my laptop is in an endless reboot loop now after running out of space during an upgrade.I dunno what it's licence keys are.It's just an ubuntu laptop now. I should repartition of claim the dead windows space.
