Being trans is anything but an 'ideology'. Trans history is watching people search for ways to realise and articulate something that the frameworks of the societies they lived in made impossible to name. Ideology did not create us, it erased us, and it wants to erase us again.

No ideology led me to be trans. Quite the opposite: all the ideas I had accepted from society pushed me to try to be cis. Accepting myself as trans meant having to reassess everything about gender, defeat my internalised transphobia, and form an honest understanding of who I was.

@lauraamalasunta How difficult is it to accept that everyone has an equal right to survive and thrive?I think this one failing is the root cause of all racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, religion, capitalism, nationalism, patriotism, fascism.They are all built on the idea that some group deserves to survive more than some other group.
