For those who don't remember..... T Boone Pickens was advocating hard during the Bush years for wind turbines up through the "Wind corridor" in the US Plains. @bluehound Pickens unfortunately was one of the drivers behind all of these stupid wind farms in Texas... But he did eventually declare that wind energy is not a good energy solution in his later years. I appreciate that, after trying and failing, he admitted that he was wrong, which is a lot more than I can say for a lot of the other pigs who are stuffing solar and wind farms and batteries into the Texas grid as fast as they can without a worry about grid stability or ruining the environment.

@zonz I didn't know that he changed his mind, good to know. I'm still irritated that I'm entirely surrounded by them, and at night the entire horizon 360 degrees is red blinking lights all blinking in unison.

@bluehound Oh man, I am sorry to hear that you have to deal with that. I absolutely hate that once pristine Texas prairies are covered in these stupid wind farms, it is nauseating. I always think of poor landowners who just want to live a peaceful life in the middle of nowhere suddenly having their skies dominated by these monstrosities. The icing on the cake is that they don't work during winter storms. 😒

@bluehound I saw him speak once, he was speaking out against Japan's unfair aysmmetrical economic model, in which they were given free hand to invest and control our (US) companies, but we could not invest or control theirs. And even when it appeared to be so "on paper" they still had hidden networks of control in Japan. I believe he was speaking as a lobbyist in the hidden networks of control in the US
