@lauren So is this going to be like the Trump process of accumulating mountains of criminal evidence only to have agencies sit on it, resulting in inaction, because folks are afraid to take on the rich guy?

@lauren Why do they suspect that?I've seen a few 4am "Car crashes into fire truck / cop car with its lights on" cases in my time and that was all before self-driving was invented. The article leaves no clue as to any particular reason to suspect that automated driving was engaged.

@lauren It seems like if Tesla themselves describe both Autopilot and Full-Self Driving as "advanced driver assist" systems, maybe a better name for those systems would simply be "Advanced Driver Assist"? That way people wouldn't get the wrong impression about how that technology is supposed to be used and what its limitations are.
