If you are in the UK and eligible to vote, remember that you will need voter ID, you can use your driving license or passport if you have these, if not you can use an Oyster card as long as you are an older person, BUT not if you are a young person. You can get a proof of age card, but they are not free, you can apply to your local authority for a free ID you will need to prove who you are, as it says in the photo. You can apply to your council for a postal vote. #VoterID

@PatriciaLewis Oyster cards are only valid in London for the oldies! I have one but I don't vote in London so it will not be valid! Student ID cards will not be accepted...!

@steverocky I also have an Oyster card, which I've had for years, but have always lived in the north. I'd be interested to know if anyone knows if there is an Oyster type card in say Manchester or Birmingham that will count for older people, or is this just a London centric thing
