New #phone last week. I swapped a Google Pixel 4a for a Pixel 6a. I also took the opportunity to install the minimum number of apps. Picture are my home screens.Changes:1. Now using Firefox as my browser.2. I side-loaded several apps from the F-Droid site; the f-droid app itself made my phone unstable and I don't use it.3. All installed apps are somewhere on the home screen so I remember what is installed, organized by importance anfld function.

@hal_canary I prefer Firefox Focus to regular Firefox, and I replaced Google Authenticator by Aegis Authenticator, which is much nicer.Osmand+ is also a great alternative to Google Maps, even though I keep Google Maps around, as its search functions and Android Auto integration are slightly better. And Tusky is simply the best Mastodon client for Android. 😉

@ParadeGrotesque About Tusky, I find I just prefer the web app for most things!

@hal_canary Yes, if you have a PC with a webcam. On Google Authenticator, select Transfer Accounts - it will display a QR code.Take a picture of that QR code with your PC webcam.Open Aegis Authenticator, select "+" then "Scan QR code" and scan the QR code from your PC.Delete the picture of the QR code once you are done.
